 The 2009/2010 session has been designated, by GBNI Executive, as a Focus on Prayer Year. We encourage you to join with others in GB in prayer -please use these prayer points to inform you on specific prayer needs. These prayer points will be regularly updated.
If you have a prayer request, please send it to us using the submit form at the bottom of the page. Prayer requests are sent to District Prayer co-ordinators. If your prayer request is of a more sensitive nature you may email the GBNI Chaplain, Doreen Draffin direct - ddraffin@ntlworld.com
- Continue to pray for:
Chaplains, Captains, Officers and Associates as they meet to prepare and plan for the forthcoming session.
All our girls that they will be enthusiastic about returning to Girls’ Brigade for the new session, and will be encouraged to bring their friends along.
All Brigaders who will be moving away from home for the first time to go to university / college. Pray that they will settle quickly into their new environment and will find Christian friends with whom they can share fun, friendship and fellowship.
All those who have been disappointed by not achieving the required grades in exams. Pray that they will know God’s presence guiding them as they make new choices for their future.
“Follow” the GBNI Scripture course for 2010/2011. Pray that it will really impact the lives of many girls as they study together around God’s Word. Pray especially for Bible class leaders as they try to make each lesson clear and relevant to each age group.
Our staff at GB Headquarters as they prepare trainings, workshops and events to support and encourage the leaders in their companies through another busy year.
Our Director, Chloe, as she returns in September, to her position following her maternity leave. Pray that she will not find it too difficult to establish the correct work – life balance as she adjusts to working full time and caring for her baby daughter Rosabelle.
Our President, Executive and Brigade Council members as they strive to provide strategic and meaningful leadership for our organisation. Pray that God will give them vision, wisdom and discernment as they seek His will for the future of GBNI. - Give thanks and praise for:
The Week of Creative Prayer in June leading up to the international Day Service. Prayer is the power house of our Christian lives. Pray that God will take all the prayers brought before Him in that week and use them to energise the ministry of GBNI in the new session.
The rest, relaxation and the refreshment of the summer months. Pray that this will be a time when we, as leaders, can be still before God and attentive to His guidance for the future.
All those who have given faithful and devoted service to GBNI over many years. Thank God for their desire to lead girls to know Him as Lord. Give thanks for their loyal service in companies, on District Executives, and at National level and for their willingness to shoulder additional responsibilities in a variety of roles.
The opportunities which many of our members have had to share the love of Jesus with children and young people at camps, beach missions, and holiday Bible clubs during the summer holidays. - Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever.
